1. In the ending of Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck I was really surprised about the ending of the book. I was surprised because George one of the main characters killed Lennie the other main characters. I was surprised because George was like the mother of Lennie, George always looked after and helped Lennie. I was also surprised at how he killed him because George took Lennie to his favorite place and shot him in the back of the head.That is what made me so surprised about how the story ended.

2. I have up and down feelings about the book. At certain areas of the book I feel bad like when the puppy died with Lennie felt really sad and bad for Lennie because Lennie cant controll his strenght. There are also parts of the book that make me fell angry like when Curly fought with Lennie simply because Lennie was bigger than him. Also there are parts of the book that make me p.o because why would George kill Lennie he had no legit reason to do it. Those are the feelings I had while reading this book.

3. One big theme that appeared was loneliness. It appears mostly in the characters, for example Curly's wife is lonely and she begs for attention and urly doesn't give her attention and she is stuck in a house all day with no one to talk to. Another person that is lonely is Crooks. Crooks is lonely because he is in a cabin that is very small and is behind the horses and smells really bad. Also he is black so people don't like him because of it. Another reason why he is lonely is because he is crippled and cant work. Also at the middle of the book another man gets very very lonely. That man is Candy, after his dog died he lost the last thing to family he ever had and part of him died when the dog died. Those are some examples of the loneliness theme in the novel.

4. My favorite character is George because he is nice and is helpful. He is helpful because he guides Lennie and he is nice because he almost gives some characters hope like Candy who lost it all after his dog died. That is why he is my favorite character.

5. My least favorite character is Curly. He is my least favorite because he is mean person and he is short and dislikes tall people because of their tallness. Also he is the bosses son so he acts like he knows it all and has the feeling like he is better than everyone else. That is why I don't like Curly.

6. The ending of the book was like a right hook because you think that Lennie and George were going straight to the top and own land but George kills Lennie. I think John Steinbeck gave sublime clues thought the book to reveal the ending, like the way the dog died was the same way Lennie died  bullet to the brain. That is what I thought about the ending of Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
